Missouri State Student Exhibition Center

Welcome to the Student Exhibition Center

While the SEC is part of Missouri State University, it is under the umbrella of programs overseen by of the College of Arts and Letters. Mark Biggs, Associate Dean, is responsible for the administrative supervision of the SEC. Director Laurie Marshall provides daily management.

Our responsibilities are to promote the use of the facility in order to enrich both the academic and cultural aspects of the university experience. The purpose of the SEC is to benefit students by providing space for them to exhibit displays of interest to their respective departments and organizations. Our main goal is to make the SEC a place of interest to both the University campus and to the community of Springfield.


Historical Overview

Located in a three-story Victorian house on Historic Walnut Street, the SEC is considered an integral part of campus life and the artistic community of Springfield.


Mission

The primary mission of the SEC is to serve the educational needs of students at Missouri State University in their roles as exhibitors and patrons.
