Artist Information
All exhibiting artists must complete an Artist Information form(.pdf; 39K) listing each piece of their art. All art must be labeled on the reverse side with the artist’s name, social security number and phone number for identification purposes. All art must be delivered ready to hang or install. Insurance value of each piece must be listed on the artists Information form.

Sale of Art or Exhibition Items
The Artist Information form(.pdf; 39K) must be in the Director’s office ten (10) working days before the opening of the exhibit. Whether or not your art is for sale, its insurance value MUST be indicated on the artist information form. If this is not provided, the work may be refused for display.

The Director will print a price list for each exhibition. Your name and the title of the work will be listed with either the sale price or NFS (Not For Sale). This price list will be available to patrons interested in making purchases.

Art displayed at the Student Exhibition Center and sold to a patron of the Student Exhibition Center is subject to the following terms:

  1. The SEC receives a 25% commission on all sales through thee gallery.
  2. Sales subject to commission fees also include sales for a period of one hundred eighty (180) days following the close of an exhibit.
  3. Sold items become the property of the SEC until the end of the exhibition period. At that time they become the property of the purchaser.
  4. The artist may not remove sold art unless the artist and the Director sign an agreement.

Forms necessary for completion of the sale are available from the Director.

Receptions
All exhibitors are welcome to schedule an opening night reception at the SEC from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. The Director is available for consultation concerning planning this event and must be notified of plans and catering arrangements one week prior to the event. Members of the SEC staff will assist with the reception.

The Center does not have the facilities or staff to prepare food in the facility. If your event requires the SEC staff to replenish refreshments at the reception, food should be ready to serve on prepared trays and beverages should be premixed.

Members of the SEC staff will assist with the reception. All catering arrangements and costs involved are the responsibility of the exhibiting departments. Since the Student Exhibition Center is a University facility, all catering orders paid from a University budget must be made with Sodexho/Marriott.
