Reception

All exhibitors are welcome to schedule a reception at the SEC. The Director is available for consultation concerning receptions. Notify the Director of plans and catering arrangements two weeks prior to the reception. Members of the SEC staff will assist with the reception.

The Center follows guidelines for food-service codes of the Springfield-Greene County Public Health Department and they are enforced. Only items prepared by a licensed caterer or purchased from a retail store can be served. Exhibitors may not prepare their own food.

For the SEC staff to replenish refreshments at the reception, food should be ready to serve on prepared trays. The Health Department does not allow SEC staff to prepare food at the Center.

Senior BFA Exhibition reception costs are the responsibility of the exhibitors or their departmental areas. Departments outside of the College of Arts & Letters are also responsible for the costs of their receptions. The SEC is a University facility, therefore all catering orders paid from a University budget must be made through Chartwell’s Caterting Services.

The reception time and date must be included in the exhibition announcement.
